TUTORIAL : Development of plug-in for QGIS

To develop plug-ins for QGIS, we use "Qt", "Python", "PyQT", "Plugin Builder 3" and "Plugin Reloader".

Installing Qt

Open the Download page (http://www.qt.io/download-open-source/) on the official Qt website.
Click Download the Qt Online Installer under Looking for Qt binaries?
Click Download button under Your Download
Run the downloaded installer.
You must register for a count (free of charge), so click Sign up to create an account.
Enter the Email and Passsword for the account you created and click Next.
Check I have read and approve the obligations of using Open Source Qt and I am an individual person not using Qt for any company and click Next.
Thereafter, click Next with the default settings until the License Agreement page.
Check the I have read and agree to the terms contained in the license agreements. checkbox and click Next.
Thereafter, click Next with default settings until the Finished page.
Check Launch Qt Creator and click Finish in the lower right corner.

Installing PyQT

Open a command prompt for Windows or Terminal for Mac.
Enter the following command to install SIP and PyQT
```
>pip install SIP
>pip3 install pyqt5
```



	
	Installing Plugin Builder 3 / Plugin Reloader
	
	Open QGIS and select Plugins>Manage and Install Plugins....
	Select the All tab in the left column.
	Click on Plugin Builder 3 in the Plugin list and click Install Plugin.
	Click on Plugin Reloader in the Plugin list and click Install Plugin.
	Click the Close button to close the Plugin Manager.
	
	

	
	Editing terrain4arcAstroVR
	
	Open terrain4arcastrovr in the QGIS plugin directory.The QGIS plugin directory is located at
WIN：C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\QGIS\QGIS3\profiles\default\python\plugins
MAC：/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/QGIS/QGIS3/profiles/default/python/plugins
	Open terrain4arcastrovr_dialog_base.ui in Qt Creator and modify or edit the UI.
	Open terrain4arcastrovr.py in a text editor and modify or edit the program.
	I run the following commands at the command prompt for Windows or in Terminal for Mac.
	>cd /<Plugin directory path>/terrain4arcastrovr
>pyrcc5 -o resources.py resources.qrc
	Run the Plugin Reloader in QGIS to reload the terrain4arcastrovr plugin.
